ALEXA, TELL HOBSON TO...
The Amazon Echo represents a new way of interacting with technology. And its integration with Hobson represents a new way of interacting with your home.
Hobson supports the Amazon Echo in two ways:
The Alexa Lighting API
This allows you to pair Hobson with your Echo to directly control lights. For example, "Alexa, turn on entry lights" or "Alexa, turn off downstairs lights."
The Hobson Skill
Interactions more complex than controlling lights require installing the Hobson Skill on your Echo. This provides interaction with other types of devices. For example, "Alexa, tell Hobson to set the thermostat to 68 degrees."
This capability is still under active development but it's working, and yes, it's kind of like being on Star Trek!
